CHARLOTTE is the first of only two U.S. cities (the other: Cincinnati) to host the American Federation of Arts’ Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds. The exhibit will feature around 45 paintings that span Pablo Picasso’s career. The Mint will also have a special exhibition component, Bearden/Picasso: Rhythms and Reverberations, about Picasso’s influence on Charlotte artist Romare Bearden. Look out for related programming from a variety of local arts organizations including the Charlotte Symphony, the Bechtler, the Gantt Center, Charlotte Ballet, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, JazzArts, and Theatre Charlotte.
